![]() ![]() Thoughts: While I’m taking some big swings on injury risks with back-to-back picks, Thomas has more standalone upside than anyone else available at wide receiver this late into the draft. ![]() Penny has terrific upside when on the field. Thoughts: Seeing Dallas Goedert and Darren Waller both still on the board makes me regret selecting Kittle in Round 7, but I feel good about strengthening running back while also enhancing my Eagles stack. Under the assumption he won’t be available to start the season, Kamara still pairs nicely with Cam Akers alongside Najee Harris. Thoughts: An expected suspension for Kamara has yet to be handed down, so he could be the steal of the year if he somehow avoids missed time. For this round, Kittle got the edge to pair with Deebo Samuel as a big chunk of the San Francisco offense. Thoughts: Kyler Murray was a quarterback I had my sights set on if he was available in a couple of rounds, as he could be a tremendous trade chip. Thoughts: If the words of Sean McVay are to be trusted, it sounds like Akers will be featured this season-calling him a “central figure” in the offense and “a stud.” And I’m not worried about another guy with a Week 10 bye. Most are too low on a guy that had an All-Pro season in 2021 and was not good enough-by his own admission-last year. Thoughts: I’ve taken Samuel in three mock drafts already this summer, and I missed out on him by a pick in another. ![]() Last season, Tua led the NFL in yards per attempt and yards per completion. 14 quarterback off the board made him too good of a value to pass up, and I could always grab a third passer if it makes sense (especially with him and Hurts having the same bye week). Thoughts: Tagovailoa being available as the No. If you know how to evaluate the position, waiting can still lead to a hit at the QB2 spot. Thoughts: Herbert ended up not being available, so Harris was my preferred option as a better value than the next quarterback I could have taken. Thoughts: Joe Burrow and Justin Fields were both given heavy consideration, but I went for the Eagles stack and am hoping another Tier 2 quarterback is available next round-though Justin Herbert appears to be the only one left if he doesn’t go over the next five picks. The bigger decision will be when to take the second signal-caller. Thoughts: I wanted to come out of this round with one of the four top passers, and Hurts is arguably the best of them despite going behind Mahomes and Allen.
